Here's what you need to know before you apply for a marriage
license.
Marriage licenses may be obtains through:

Smithland, KY 42081
The clerk’s office is in the County Courthouse
and is approximately a 20 minute drive Grand Rivers. You do not have
to be a resident of Kentucky. Both applicants must be present to
obtain the license. There is no waiting period to obtain the
license in Kentucky. The Livingston County Marriage License Fees
is: $35.50;
Cash, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or
Money Order.
The license is valid for thirty (30) days.
Officiants:
Any ordained or licensed clergymen who have been licensed in
Kentucky to perform weddings, and justices of the peace.
